Battery Powered Straightener?

Question Posted Sunday April 30 2006, 10:01 am

Is there such a thing as a battery powered straightener? I ask because it is normally hot in my first class at school and when its hot..of course..i sweat..and my hair goes balistic on me..especially after the first time i straighten it. So i was wondering if there is such a thing or if there is like a mini straightener or something...if not then does anyone know of anything that will help me? thanks

hey, i straighten my hair everyday. at night (usually between 5-7) i take a shower. i let my hair air-dry for 1-2 hours. then if its not dyr by then ill blow-dry it a little. after that i will straighten it and sleep on it. also dont straighten your hair in the heat, it will make it puffy. cait♥

Yes. Here's one, it even has it's own charger, so you don't need to keep changing the battteries. It's only £19.95, or $30.91USD, you'll need to buy an adaptor too though if you are in the US and the delivery is expensive.

For something similar just try typing "Battery travel hair straightener" into google.com

I don't know which country you're in but if you google 'battery powered hair straighteners' you get a fair choice. If you also add 'mini' or 'compact' you will get a good choice of these too, lots of which are also battery powered. Prices range widely and P&P is usually on top. Some of the websites grade their efficiency so you get a better idea of what you are buying. Good luck.

that used to happen to me all the time when i straightened my hair in the morning or right before dances. what i do now it take a shower at night and blowdry/straighten it then i sleep on it... it gets some of the natural oils back so it stays down better after i sleep on it. that's what works for me... maybe you should try it and see if it works for you. i think it's better than straightening all day long.. <3

Oh wow we have something in common. I'm the straightner queen lol j/k. I don't think they have a battery powered straightner, at least I've never seen one. I've had a battery powered curling iron b4 and it sucked, didn't get hot off to even make a curl or do nothing for that matter so I wouldnt imgane that even if there was one, that it would get hot enough to help us. I have a solution for your problem, I can straighten mine now and it doesn't frizz back up at all anymore. Go to your Wal~Mart and in the shampoo/hair care isle pick you up a bottle of STRAIGHTEN OUT It's by FX Special Effects. It'll come in a cool lookin pink bottle and cost ya $5 buckies it's a miracle worker just follow the instructions on the back but basically after you get out the shower put it in your hair and then blowdry then straighten it and put the stuff in there again to lock the straight hair in place. It does NOT make your hair oily so don't worry about that.
