Being a young chef myself, i can guess that you dont want to make anything to heavy so you two feel sick later on, and dont want anything unimpressive. Im gonna suggest making a mixed fruit smoothie. Start off by blending 2-3 cups of ice (depending on your choice of thickness) with a half cup of milk, also adding thick and smooth texture. Once the ice is nice and finely chooped, add 1 1/2 bananas, a hand full or two of strawberries, a couple mixed color berries, and whatever you may think of that would add to the flavor.
if you like ensalada (salad), i like to make a southern chicken ensalada. Use either bonless chicken or Tyson frozen chicken strips. i prefer a nice cast iron skillet to simmer 2 handfulls of chicken/chicken strips in 1/4 cup of water on med. heat for about 5 minutes (use a knife to cut one piece and make sure its just right). if your like me, and dont like to cut a whole head of lettuce, pull out a bag of Dole* lettuce and fill up 2 regular sized bowls. add cherry tomatos, sliced onion, corn (if you like), brocoli and cauliflower, and lay chicken strips on top of all. Add your fav. dressing, salt/pepper, or other condiments of choice and serve.

I'd suggest getting takeout, but if you want to cook, then that's fine. To get recipes, find a cookbook or look it up online. Go to google.com and type in "date recipes", I just did and found some good websites. Check it out. =]
VixenDark answered Monday April 24 2006, 5:52 pm: My recommendation is to make pizzas. Buy pizza crusts premade, and assemble all the ingredients. Then, you two can make your own pizzas together.
Stir Fry is quick and very tasty. Cut up veggies and meats into small pieces, toss them in a skillet with maybe a tablespoon of vegetable oil, and just cook til done on high heat, stirring a lot. It will be done in maybe ten minutes. If you make some white rice ahead of time, that would be perfect. [ VixenDark's advice column | Ask VixenDark A Question ]
xRainySundayx answered Monday April 24 2006, 5:33 pm: It depends on how fast you want to cook. Most special dinners are going to take at least thirty minutes, most likely more. I could easily give you a recipe (just send me a message, I'm a culinary major) but it may be nicer if you find out his favorite food and then practice it. Most guys are pretty simple when it comes to food. If he says something like pizza, then make a really fun dessert so it's still personal. Or how about making grilled cheese? Pathetic yes, but its good-most guys think its cute when thier girlfriend can only cook something easy like grilled cheese they find it so adorable. :) <3 [ LondonScene's advice column | Ask LondonScene A Question ]
