yeah, it sounds like sleep paralisis. My science teacher told us about it and its rare, but it's not too much to worry about.

Sounds like sleep paralysis. You should go to a doctor and speak to him about it.

Sleep paralysis is normal. All of us who experience normal sleep patterns go through this, but most of the time we don't wake up during this stage. When we do, we realize that we can't move and it's frightening and we fight against it. When the adrenilan surge kicks in, we finally wake all the way and can move again.

This is thought to be a protective function so we don't harm ourselves or others during lucid dreams. The problem isn't the paralysis it's self, it's that you are always waking up in this stage. If your sleep pattern is interupted you will most likely feel very tired during the day.

You should see a Dr not because of the paralysis, but because you aren't experiencing a normal sleep cycle.

Here's a sleep test that you can take to your Dr.

hi,
first of all have you been to see a doctor, you sound like you are having anxity or panic attack. what i would sugesst is some simple breathing exercises. when you feel it happening try and take 10 deep breaths. if you are under alot of stress you need to talk to someone, talking about things really does help and may be able to stop these attacks. dont be afraid alot of pepole go through this, its just your bodys way of coping. go and see your doctor and see what he/she recommends. ask for a list of support groups. tell your doctor what stressful things are going on in your life, thats what they are there for it their job to help people, and not just people who are in pysical pain.
go to bed get sleep have a nice hot bath before you go to bed and that might also help. try and clear your mind before you go to bed think of a clear blue sky and nothing else.
hope i helped email me if you have anymore questions.
lisa x.
