First of all, I am fifteen years old and will be getting my intermediate license in three months- therefore, I need to buy a car so that I won't have to ride the bus next year to school. In order to buy a car, I of course, need cash. The problem is- I can't find a job. Everywhere that I try to apply, the minimum age limit is sixteen. Does anyone have any ideas about what I could do for money? Please, no ideas including babysitting and cleaning- because I already do both of those. I would very much appreciate the advice, and I will give you a five for good advice.
Additional info, added Wednesday May 3 2006, 5:22 pm: I don't need people telling me that I don't need to get a car- I just want my question answered. I don't just need the car for school, either. When I do turn sixteen, and am able to get a real job, I want to be able to drive myself. Also, I'm envolved with a lot of extracurricular activities, and my parents can't always pick me up- that goes for staying with friends also. I can't always do the stuff that I want because there is no way that my parents could come get me. So, therefore, a car would help out a lot.. Adviceguy158 answered Thursday April 20 2006, 9:12 am: If you were to ask me, driving to school can be a bad idea. The reason being is that there are more chances that a vehicle can be broken into, and more chances of getting into an accident in the school parking lot. That was how it was when I went to school. An of course, with gas at or near $3 a gallon, that can be pretty tough on you. What is it that you don't like about the bus? If you want to, you can check out my Advice Nators website. I'm 18 years old, and I don't have a car; I rode the bus to work, school and extracurriculars all throughout high school, and I'm still doing that in university!

If not there, try looking for jobs a little out of town, the usually hire at younger ages, but you need to get like a bunch of forms signed. If those don't exist where you live, try local businesses that are like mainstream or nationwide businesses. Even still, legally you can't get many hours a week, so, you won't be making much money.

Maybe ask your friends too, they might be able to help you out. [ soendearing's advice column | Ask soendearing A Question ]
