What you can do, though, is tell her you feel like you haven't been able to hang out as much because of this pther girl, who you think might not like you as much, etc.

If this girl is so needy for your friend's attention, she may just be really insecure, or else really used to getting what she wants. This can cause problems for you, because while your friend can have two best friends, it usually makes one of those best friends feel kind of left out.

ONe of the best things to do is not let the other girl's motives get to you. Keep being the best friend that you are, don't let this other girl make you shy away and become less close with your friend. Just be there - don't be mean to the other girl, but just be present in the life of your best friend. I don't think you think this, but remember: you don't own people, and when they drift away, there may be nothing you can do - but you can learn how to stand your ground, be honest with your situation, and move on if you have to. Sometimes people change and there is nothing we can do - and sometimes, with stickign around, an old friend will come back to be the best friend they used to be.

I hope it all works out for the best for you. [ Ronlina's advice column | Ask Ronlina A Question ]
