I suggest the website called The Sitter's Weekly.

It's a free online guide to babysitting - includes advertising advice, babysitting rates, flyer ideas, how to handle the children, etc.

It's located at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Bring anything you can find to entertain the kids. Kids movies, board games, old toys. Bring a snack in case (for you).

Wear something comfortable and appropriate. A tee shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Make sure nothing shows when you bend over, minimal makeup. Hair in a ponytail.

Hey, my name is Faith42 and I hope I can help!

Well,this is what I think,

You should bring :extra things to wear, (incase you
do things with the kids that is messy),Some nice movies that you can watch, and occupie the kids, some
games for a computer or t.v. system(if they have those appliances ) .

You should wear A tee, and jeans would be fine and
flips flops or tennis shoes.

I hope I helped,
Faith42 :)

Dress appropriately. Jeans and a nice tee shirt is fine. Don't wear anything revealing or offensive.

Bring your cell phone in case of emergency, but don't use to call up your best friend and talk for 2 hours or anything. A purse is probably the best idea. You can bring your purse, iPod to listen to if the kids go to bed early, and whatever else you might need.

As for what to bring for the kids, it depends on the children's' ages, interests, and what they already have at the house.

I would recommend that you wear something that is comfortable, so you'll be fine chasing the little kiddos around. If you're just sitting in a house, I would wear jeans, a good sturdy pair of tennis shoes, and a clean shirt. What you should bring with you depends on what age children you're watching. If you're going to be preparing food for them and aren't sure if you'll like it, you should bring a snack along so that you can have something just in case. If you have any books or toys around that the kids you're watching would like, bring those along as well, because it's always easier to entertain kids with toys that are new to them. Good luck!

It all depends on your "strategy" that you use to babysit. I ofted used arts and crafts and the like to keep them busy and things that were easy to clean up. Other people simply force the kids to do nothing. Id advise reading them a story or somthing as down to earth as that is. Id just wear clothes that are nice, but not too nice, you dont want to make an impression that you are fancy or stylish, but you dont want to dress like a slob either. Id say jeans and a T-shirt would be perfectly appropriate.
