PLEASE whatever you do, don't get t-mobile. I have it now and I can't wait to get rid of it I'm so sick and tired of not having service anywhere exept on my boat in the middle of no where. They ask for more money for less minutes and not even rollover for some.
Verizon is ok. I know people who are happy with it. Not amazing but not the worst. Let me put it this way it wouldnt be a bad choice. My dad had it and it worked most of the time and got pretty good service. I don't know about the plans but you could easily check that out at
loves2shop86 answered Sunday April 16 2006, 6:34 pm: i agree with what everyone else below me said, so i am not going to repeat it. i just want to add a few things:
- i have cingular and i like it a lot. reception is always great, and because SO many people i know have it, we can talk to each other at any time without wasting any minutes. best thing to do is see what phone service the people that you talk to the most have! if all your good friends have cingular, then it is a good idea to get that, so that when you talk to them you don't waste any minutes!
- also, t-mobile and cingular have now switched to the GSM system, and i am pretty sure that verizon hasn't! gsm is better because you get a sim card with every phone, and you can save all your numbers to the card, instead of the phone. that way, when you get a new phone, all you have to do is transfer the card into the new phone, and all your numbers will be there automatically, without having to retype them all! also, with gsm, you can buy an unlocked phone on sites like ebay, and all you would have to do is transfer your sim card to them and your phone would work. if verizon doesn't have gsm, then you can only buy your phone from them, and then you have to pay an activation fee to get the new phone working!
xomegaroni answered Sunday April 16 2006, 6:22 pm: they're all good companies. i have cingular & i like it a lottttttt. it has rollover minutes, so when you go over you use those & your bill doesn't go over. i think it has the best family plan. you buy a main phone & then you add a line for $9.99 haha =) pluss it has great reception. here's a website-

a lot of my friends have verizon. they have really neat phones & styles & stuff. their reception isn't too bad.

tmobile is neatttttt. they have really cool phones & good deals. their nights & weekends start at 7pm now instead of 9pm which is good. they also have the sidekicks. idk if this would be a great family plan. it's really up to what you're into. here's a website-
SeriousAsAHeartAttack answered Sunday April 16 2006, 6:21 pm: I have cingular and its awesome. For 49.99 or i think it may be 39.99 i get 450 minutes plus rollover. i get 200 text messages for ean extra 4.99 a month. I do know that verizon is great too though. you get unlimitied texts and pics for not too much. where as cingular i think it would come out to be more expensive. So it depends on if you talk more, or text more. :] [ SeriousAsAHeartAttack's advice column | Ask SeriousAsAHeartAttack A Question ]
