I dropped my phone in the toilet.

Question Posted Saturday April 15 2006, 8:59 pm

I have a samsung phone (if that'll help any) and I dropped it in my toilet. It was only in there like a second and I tried drying it with my hairdryer but it just keeps vibrating and says it's charging. Has this ever happened to anyone? Will I need a new phone? What should I do? I'm like freaking out! I'm expecting an important call and I don't have their number and all they have is my cell number!! I'm really freaking out about this. Help Please!!!!

Nope.. verizon phones don't have sim cards :( Well, the one I have doesn't, its a LG. I'm not sure about a samsung phone, though. If it does it will probably be where the battery is. I'm not sure what to do about it, you'll probably have to get a new phone. Just let it dry out for a while & see if it'll work.

happened to me, most likely you would have a sim card. take that out and all other parts separately and dry them off completely. let them dry off for 1-2 days without putting them back together. you wont be getting your call sorry, but atleast your phone will be saved. it sucks when cell phones break cus everyone relies so heavily on them.
hope your cell gets back to normal soon!

Oh that happened to me with a swimming pool. We took apart my cell phone and dried every part. After it would turn on, but it wouldnt send out calls or anything. Best thing to do is to just buy a new cell phone, because there really isnt anything else you can do.

A*xo
