dumb boy

Question Posted Wednesday April 12 2006, 4:29 pm

Okay, so I like this boy and I asked him out. He said he did't know. Then my friend kept on going up to him and saying "yes or no" and he kept on saying "maybe" or "I don't know" It's getting really annoying because I really want to know! So my question is, does he not want to go out with me? Or does he? I'm just not sure.
13/f

For guys it's kinda hard to comprehend an answer. Asking him is one thing, but having friends do it for you, is saying like he's obligated to answer. It kinda gets him in a bad mood to say " No damn it, quit bugging me !" all im saying is that if he doesn't know, it just means that he's thinking on it. just give him some time to think, and when your one on one just ask him. When men think it really means they're thinking, but that doesn't mean we can just give up. A lil patiance goes a long way. And also your 13, you have a whole long life to live before looking for a boyfriend, anyway hope this helps.

ok everyone else who answered was a girl so from our point of view you would seem to be the type to rush us into things and plus guys think about things girls have to talk it out give him a couple days and if he doesnt answer just go up to him and ask him politely and ask him this Have you thought about us being "together'? let him know that its ok if he says no

It depends on why he is hesitating.
It could just be a way to dance around the question because he doesn't want to offend you,
or something may be hindering him from saying a straight out "yes."

go up to him yourself and say," i want a yes or no answer please, i can't wait forever." or something like that. that way if he says maybe or i dont know just walk away, he probably doesnt want to. tell me if i helped! ^-^

I think he is trying to protect your feelings by not saying no or he just likes to keep you waiting.

I think you should move on.
