Jealous, maybe?
Okay, so yesterday there was this dance thing at school. Me, my friends, and my [boyfriend that nobody knew was my boyfriend] were hanging out and stuff. So it was the last song of the dance, the slow dance. Everyone knew that joe (my boyfriend) liked me & stuff [but they didn't know we were going out]. So they were like "you get joe, I'll get alyssa(me)!" They forced his hand on my shoulders and stuff and I hugged him (we're shy.)
and then the next day, Elena (the one that pretty much made us hug) said that she's gonna tell everyone in the school what we did at the dance. I mean, we hugged? wow. Why did you think shes doing this?

l.o.l. You're right "wow". ...Hmm... did you do anything that upset her? I think she might just be ressentful that the boy you like likes you back and you are actually together. Unless she was just messing around, but if she sounded like she meant it then she might be ressentful and jealous because maybe the guy she likes doesn't like her back or hasn't asked her out or maybe she's having problems with her boyfriend (if she has one). And since you're shy she probably expected to have a boyfriend before you did, or to at least fix you up but you ended up with him on your own. Also, since you're shy and a private person, she thinks it will upset you and that will make her feel better since she as no one.

well, obviously shes not a good friend if shes gunna tell the whole school that you hugged him. and maybe you should tell people that he is your bf! cuz, guys dont like to be unnoticed when theyre going out with someone. and you shouldnt be shy with your boyfriend! i mean everyone can be sometimes, but you shouldnt be shy to at least hug. well, hope i helped!

she might be jealous of you. she might be doing it do make you mad. if she still doesn't know you two are together, she might be doing it because she thinks it'll get you two together. my idea would be to go ahead and tell her, "elena, joe and I are together.. it's really no big deal that we hugged at the dance" orr...
if you don't wanna be so nice, spread a rumor just as bad about her. see what happens.

It doesn't always mean jelousy, but yeah that is probably because she's jelous. I had a friend who used to tell me every day that she'd give me a sucker if I broke up with my boyfriend. She always tore me away from my locker and said "I'm saving you from him!" So like a week later i brok up with him (worst mistake ever!!) And than the next year I found out that she likes him. So it could be that, and it's kind of hard and cruel when they're ,mean to you but the best thing to do is probably talk to her. It would help instead of skipping to conclusions.
