I want to give this guy I like the "go-ahead" to ask me out if he really likes me, but I'd rather not just flat out say, "I like you as more than a friend." I've done that before, twice, and both times it ended badly and I was embarrassed. But, on the other hand, dropping subtle hints doesn't always do the trick with guys. What would be a sure-fire way to let a guy know that you like him without being blunt?

"sooo when are you going to ask me out" but were really close and comfortable around eachother so i don't know if you would want to do that so here are what i could say you can do
- give him looks like just stare into his eyes and smile.. that usually gives them the hint right off because he then knows that you were looking at him and think about him etc. lol
- ask him over your house or something to study.. then you'll have him there and you can let it all out etc.
i know you said you don't want to come right out and tell him.. but you probably should or else you'll never know what could happen between you two.. you know ?

Give him winks, shy glances, and give him emails and IM him too. Don't seem pushy, but if you flirt...trust me, he'll get the point =)
