Everyone keeps saying for really dry hair you should use olive oil to make it soft and smooth again. Well I did... now it wont come out. lol My hair is an oily mess! I've washed it 7 times already and it's still as oilly as before. HELP!!!!
VixenDark answered Monday April 3 2006, 6:56 pm: Dish soap. It gets oil out of anything, basically.
Also, for the dry hair, try a hot oil treatment. Not olive oil. I use Suave, personally. Also, try the Aussie Dual personality styling products. They have leave in conditioners. [ VixenDark's advice column | Ask VixenDark A Question ]

Kayendall06 answered Monday April 3 2006, 11:30 am: Stop using Olive Oil! It's BAD! Use Head & Shoulders. It will get it out and it will make it less frizzy, helps dandruff and makes it smooth. It smells yummy too =)
kristen22 answered Sunday April 2 2006, 10:40 pm: There's nothing you can do to get it out execpt the obvious that is, which is to repeatly wash it. Next time thou, and I reccomend waiting a few days because of all that "gunk" you just put in it, if your wanting a home rememedy for dry hair... Mix a egg white and mayonaisse together and put it on dry hair, comb thru and let sit for 5-10 minutes (longer the better) and shampoo & condition as usual. It tames frizzes and makes hair smooth and sleek without the 'oily' look. [ kristen22's advice column | Ask kristen22 A Question ]
LM answered Sunday April 2 2006, 7:44 pm: clarifying shampoo works really well for getting oil out. The best one I've used is Suave, and its only 99 cents a bottle too! also, when you apply the oil, only put it on your ends and work it up towards your scalp. But since you're probably drenched in oil right now and don't feel like waltzing into a store, just wash your hair again, with a LOT of shampoo. It'll come out eventually, don't worry. =]
greeneyedgirl9o answered Sunday April 2 2006, 7:26 pm: you are supposed to rub it into your scalp not take a bath in it or dunk your head in it. your supposed to use only a little directly to your scalp. my suggestion is shampoo it 5 times, dont condition it, then in the morning wash it normally and it should be good by then! dont worry my sister does that to her hair, next time only do it to your scalp and your supposed to leave it in over night or at least for 6 hours, that proboly why it isnt coming out easily, plus the fact its oil and you use water to rinse your hair, and well oil and water dont mix! good luck ttyl [ greeneyedgirl9o's advice column | Ask greeneyedgirl9o A Question ]
