getting back with an ex

Question Posted Tuesday March 28 2006, 10:27 pm

Me and my boyfriend broke up. He broke up with me to go out with this one girl but we started talking again and the past 2 nights he has kissed me. He said he is confused and I want to get back with him. Would it be bad if I did?

It wouldn't be a bad thing, as long as he broke up with his girlfriend before anything else happened.

Unfortunately, at the moment he doesn't know what he wants and if you make efforts to get him back it will only cloud his judgement and make it harder for him to make his decision.

The best thing you can do right now, for your sake as much as anyone else, is speak to him about this and tell him you can't see him at all until he decides what he wants. Don't give him an ultimatum as such, but tell him he can't string you both along so until he knows what he wants, you're going to stay out of his way. This should, if anything, also boost you in his opinion because you're doing 'the honourable thing'.

If he really still cares about you - and it sounds like he does - I doubt you have anything to worry about.

He said he's confused about you, so don't get together too quickly, or you might get hurt again if he all of the sudden decides to date another girl. If he is still going out with another girl, then yeah, it would be bad to try to get back together with him. Give him time and then ask him for a straight answer, and ask him what he wants to do.

depends on why you broke up. if you think you can have a relationship with him... try it. what can it hurt? if you have an answer for what it could hurt... you might not want to go back with him!

It would be if he's still going out with that girl. You might want to ask him that first, and also if he wants to go out since he doesn't seem to have asked you yet, and you might not want to jump to conclusions.

Good Luck

I think it would be because he hurt you once he will do it again. do you really want your heart broken again? i hope not.

I think it would be a very bad idea to get back with him...

I mean if he is confused, that is not a good sign. And he broke up with you for another girl...what if that happens again?

I just really think you should move on.
