my name is Rachel and iam 16 and this boy asked me out yesterday at school,but he told me to keep it secrete is this normal for a boy who just started dating a girl to want to keep their relationship secret from evrybody?If it's not normal what should I do?

I dont think its too weird. He is probably just shy and embarressed. Maybe its his first time dating? Or maybe he is just a lacking a little confidence and wants to wait until you guys date for a while. If it bothers you, talk to him about it. Maybe ask him why he wants it a secret, and maybe you can persuade him to not be so secrety about it.

It is normal especially at 16 for a guy to keep it secret? Why? because if he tells everyone and you two break up after a short period he loses his pride and his self esteem goes down. However if you two have been together for a couple months already he will feel more confident and it will come out in the open. Don't worry. A lot of guys are like that. Just be happy. Have good times together. Life is short. Just be yourself. Once he feels comfortable, things will be better.

NO, it's definetely not normal. Of course, he may have a good reason. Try talking to him, and see if you can find out why he's so worried about keeping your relationship on the DL. If he can't give a good reason, end it.

Boys can be confusing sometimes. He may just want to make sure that the relationship works out before you tell anybody. But then again, he probably should have made sure that he thought it would before he asked you out. But to me this doesn't sound normal. Wouldn't a good guy want to show you off to the world? (I am a hopeless romantic, i'm sorry, lol) Ask him why he wants to keep it a secret, it's as easy as that :). well i dont think it's anything wrong with keeping a secret that you and a guy go out but then again you have to think does he want this to be a secret because he has another girl, is embarrass of you and just wants to have sex with you....i think you should ask him why does he wants to keep it a secret..thats the only way you'll knoe if its normal or not...hope i helped

Normally, when people first starting going out, don't they want everyone to know? Or atleast have their friends know?
Something doesn't seem right there. Ask him why he wants it kept secret because deserve to know why.
