whats it mean?
i tried out for a play for the first time. i was so suprised when i actually started reading the poem we were supposed to recite because i actually felt more comfortable with people watching me and i wasnt nervous at all and i think i did good... then the director said "thats exactly what i wanted" or something like that. then, the next person up he said "see how jackie did it? :)" in a good way. does that mean i'll get a part in the play?? or is he just being nice???

lol Being nice would have been "that's good". Even "see how Jackie did it" might have been bieng nice. But he said it was exactly what he wanted which means you will most likely get the part. Usually they say "that was very good. We'll post the results tomorrow. Do you have any questions?" Also, you feel confident and usually when you don't feel so good about how you did it is because you didn't do so good. But you feel you did pretty good so I really think you got the part. Also, he thinks you're talented. Congratulations!

Sounds like you could be in with a good chance! Generally, directors and casting people are very particular as to the type of actor/actress they want and praise is a rare thing in the acting business!
Take the compliment and run with it! I'm sure you'll get a good part. If you don't, don't get too upset. Just take some feedback and use it next time you audition. Clearly, you were meant for the stage!

sometimes what the directors say can be misleading. I had the directors really digging what i was doing and i got called back. after that, i didn't even get a small part. just wait and see because it really depends on the person. <3

It sounds to me like they liked your performance. You might get the part, but you might not. People have second thoughts about things but I would be pretty confident if it happened to me like that.

It sounds to me like you'll get a part.
It also sounds as if you're what they call a "natural". I am too, by the way. If you like acting, it may be an option for you - although it can be a hard life.
One thing I do recommend is not to just rely on your natural talent. Work to develop your skills - memory, voice, movement. It will definitely pay off.
