Get comfortable with them first. Another thing you can do if you're worried or you're having a really heavy day is to wear both a tampon AND a light pad. That way if there's a leak, it doesn't matter. After you've used up the regular tampons have your mom get the super ones if you think they will be better. Tampons hurt when you take them out for one or both of two reasons. They expans a bit as they soak up the blood, so they're slightly bigger coming out and your muscles may not have been relaxed. Try to relax your muscles as you're pulling it out. You'll get used to it before very long. Good luck! [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
ROXiEMARiEX3 answered Monday March 20 2006, 10:03 pm: Hm. Naturally since it was your first time, it might take more time for you to get it in. It's better that it take you time than you put it in wrong which .. lets just say can get more complicated. As long as you change every three to four hours, you should be fine. Since you're just starting out, I recommend using an ultra-thin along with the tampon on your heavier days. Once you get more comfortable with the concept, the super would be fine. Ask your mom about the difficulties getting it out. That shouldnt happen. It might mean you dont have a heavy enough flow or just that you put it in wrong. Read any instructions on boxes and ask your mom or doctor. Hopethathelped && Goodluck!♥ [ ROXiEMARiEX3's advice column | Ask ROXiEMARiEX3 A Question ]
d0ntSt0pdaMuSiK8 answered Monday March 20 2006, 9:29 pm: okk well you can just change your pad during lunch or study hall or a stupid class like band... and to fix your other problem during gym or even school where a tampon and a pad and that way you definetly won't leak...
greeneyedgirl9o answered Monday March 20 2006, 8:30 pm: My suggestion GET THE SUPER! dont use regular unless its really light, go get tampax pearl super absorbant (its orange) they work the best, and all tampons go in the same you wont have to worry about it feeling unconfortable! What you need to do is buy always super pads but make sure you buy the thin ones, wear those with the tampon in, it will catch any leaks that may happen when running and what not. those brands work the best (me and my friends compared haha)! For tampons they can stay in for maybe 3-4 hours on heavey days so just change it at lunch or sign a pass, put them in your purse. and the only way you wont be able to use them at school is if your nervous and think about it not going in, just relax and take your time when at school (in the past one time i was in such a rush i dropped my last tampon in the toliet!). good luck and ask me if you need anything else! helpachick answered Monday March 20 2006, 8:27 pm: hey! well what i would do, is wear tampons on the weekends or when you're out of school, to begin with. once you wear them for so long this way (when you have lots of time to practice getting them in and changing them.) then once you get so you can do this fast, and you think you will be able to change them at school quick enough, that is when i would start wearing them to school. xoxo helpachick [ helpachick's advice column | Ask helpachick A Question ]
sweetie4eva710 answered Monday March 20 2006, 8:27 pm: i know that tampons feel more comfortable and clean, but tey also fill faster then pads and can cause more leaks. wear tampons at home only unitl you get used to putting them in and taking them out and then whne you feel comfortable with it you can wear them at school. but dont go to wearing tampons all of the time is my suggestion.
