How can you tell if a girl has a potential interest in you and does resting her head on your shoulder signify anything? Also, what if she lays with you on the grass with her head resting on your stomach without a care in the world of what a group of friends think?

That's how I would act with a guy that I liked. However, everybody is different. If you really want to know, just ask her if she wants to be your girlfriend. Or if you want to go slow, ask her if she likes you, and then move up to asking her out. Unless you don't like her. In which case, just tell her to stop doing it because it makes you uncomfortable. You have NOTHING to lose by asking her. Also, if you want to know what your friends think, ask them. They are the only ones who know what they think.

Sounds like she has interest in you if she rests on you. Does she also talk to you a lot more than she does with other people? Are there other signs that she might be interested? If so, then she's probably interested :)
