Little_Miss_Cant_Be_Wrong answered Tuesday February 28 2006, 9:08 am: Thats actually a pretty healthy amount of weight to lose per week, I'd say any more than that would be losing too much in a short amount of time. Just reduce your calorie intake. Something you could try is SlimFast. They have shakes, energy bars, and other snacks. Basically the concept of the SlimFast system is to replace 1-2 of your daily meals with a SlimFast product. They are low in calories, but have nutritional value to them, so its an easy way to reduce the amount of calories you eat. Another thing is, if you tend to be a late night snacker, try to set a time and make sure you don't eat any more after a set time, like 6 or 7pm. You'd be surprised at how those late night snacks add up, and most likely, they aren't healthy snacks. Also try substituting any unhealthy snacks for low calorie ones. Some good ones are Special K cereal bars (only 90 calories), a piece of fruit, celery, or yogurt. Make sure you are always checking the labels on food, this will help make you aware of what you are eating. This next piece of advice I can't stress enough - exercise!!! It doesn't mean you have to go to the gym, or lift weights, you just want to burn calories. Walking, jogging, dancing - all of those are great, and super easy. I actually suggest just turning some music on and dancing around in your room for an hour each night! It actually burns alot of calories. Weight loss basically comes down to the ratio of caloric intake vs calories burned. Your number of calories burned each day needs to be higher than the amount you ate in order to lose weight. Well I hope this helped, if there's anything else you want to know or need help with, just let me know! Good luck! You don`t have to cut all your favorite foods or anything but maybe eat less of it or something so its a bit easier..♥Dez [ ThugGirl041790's advice column | Ask ThugGirl041790 A Question ]
Teza answered Monday February 27 2006, 7:08 pm: You don't have to go on any diets or anything to loose that amount of weight a week. You should eat your regular foods and exercise. Well, I wouldn't really say regular but eat the same foods but in smaller porportions. Don't eat fried foods, sweets, and all the junk food. I mean you can have a little once or twice a week but replace those foods with healthier things. Buy non fat things and exercise. I think everyone hates that word lol but just walk for about an hour a day or ride your bike, run, run up your stairs, do something to burn off those calories. Try eating about 1500 to 2000 calories a day and burn about 550. Be motivated and stick with it and you defenetlly will succeed. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]

Another way is to go on weight watchers you can still eat anything you want but there is only a certain amount an dit is a good plan. My friend has been on it for about two weeks and she lost 8 pounds already/ [ Advicelady6798's advice column | Ask Advicelady6798 A Question ]
