I think you should ask your friends who are also doing this dance what they are going to do about it and see if they have anything usefull in mind.

To relieve you stress i think you just need to relax buy thinking positive and practicing as much as you can. You will do great!

Go to the doctor and ask them for a pill that helps to delay your period. I had them prescribed once when I was going on holiday. You take one a day from a couple of days before your period is due and then take them until you're ready for it to come on.

As far as relieving stress, try doing some exercise. It's great for relieving stress and tension. Go for a cycle, a jog or a walk nearby. Then make sure you have something plain to eat for dinner and go to bed early. That way, if you do have problems sleeping, at least you're getting some rest.

Well my best friend is a dancer and she doesn't usually use tampons but she does for dance competitions... a while back a girl leaked on stage and it ran down her tights are everything so now she wont take any chances! i would STRONGLY recommend using a tampon (just for the competition). try one before the actual competition so you can get ready quickly. you could also wear a thong with a thong pad it you're not heavy.
I can't help you with the sleep thing... I usually stay up really late before those sorts of things.
good luck at the competition!! don't let anything stop you from doing your absolute best! <3

Haha you came to the right person. I have been doing dance compititions for years now and I have been on my period while dancing. Just ware a pad or whatever you usually wear. If you are very nervous about leaking just use one for when it's heavy. Then you will be fine. I usually download my dance songs into my ipod and listen to it over and over to help me relax and make sure I have the dance down right. Listen to relaxing music, take a hot bath, read, or watch a movie. Any of these can help you fall asleep and relax. Compititions are SOOOOO much fun you are gonna have a ball! Best of luck <33
PS: tell me how you do!! :]

what i would do is buy a comfortable thong to wear underneath it (just for the performance.) and buy the thong pads. then you cant see your underwear, or leak through. to get to sleep well the night before, just relax. take a hot bath with candles. listen to soft music, and if you know somebody that gives massages, that would be helpful too. good luck at your competition!!

tea is always a good option, not only does it have antioxidants in it that is good for your skin, but it helps to calm your entire body, muscles and all down.

Also, the only suggestion i can advise you that would absolutely work would be a tampon. If you havent used one before, then i suggest now is the time to try. sorry i cant help you more with that.

what i would do is just make sure you can change your pad very often and get the highest absorbansy possible that you can still move it!

and try to relax and forget about what you have going on. try taking a warm bath the night before, have a nice snack of like milk and cookies and get off to bed early! try to calm yourself as much as possible and try to to think about dancing
