I am one of those girls that always scrunches my hair and it is really easy. All you have to do is use gell and scrunch it between your fingers. Your haior is the perfect length and if you find that the hot weather is making it flatten then use some hair spray as well as the gel and you may also want to try mouse. I have the exact same hair as you it is wavy but not curly or straight. I find that if I scrinch it, it gets realkly notted, but you coudl try, and I hate my hair too, but what try or straightener do you have cause mine is really bad and I am looking for a new one!

well when you get out of the shower get curling gel and blow dry with defuser or air dry. another way is curling it with a curling iron, or crimping your hair with the waver that some straighteners come with if your able to switch hot plates. you could also get a perm like what i did, if you got the money for it it helps and plus when you do want to straighten your hair itll stay straigher longer.

Get it pretty wet. Like when you get out of the shower. Then take gel and rub it around in your hand then starting at the tips of your hair, grab it and make a fist with the hair in your hand and bring it to your part. You continue to do that. Try spraying it with hairspray to stay for the whole day. I actually use this Hilary Duff stuff.. a conditioning, shinying, and someother kind of spray and it workd great!

Well. some things you can do are

take a regular curling iron and run it through strands of your hair, then stop for like 10 seconds, go a little lower, stop for 10 seconds, and that will crimp it.

buy a crimping curling iron

Orrrrr. After you wash your hair, put some moose in it, and use a diffuser. Their about 10 dollars I think at a local salon. What they do is dry & scrunch your hair at the same time. So you have this amazingly cute scrunched hair & its dry =D.

Try Aussie Sprunch Spray, found in most shampoo or hair product isles of your local grocery store. Just spray this on your hair after you get out of the shower, it works best at night after you get out of the shower. Take your hands and squeeze your hair kind of pulling it up. Although, it does say how to do all of this on the bottle.

heres the site for the spray:

My advice would be for you to visit a hair salon and get professional advice. They'll be able to see your hair and tell you what's best for you. Personally I would suggest that you get a perm. Nobody seems to be very open to that because they either think that perms are for old ladies or that they'll end up looking like Annie. I'm not sure, but that's not the case at all. It's just curly hair that lasts for months that doesn't need spray, gel, or anything like that. It's so easy to maintain and it looks great. Different sized curlers can make your hair all the way from just wavy, to having really tight curls. However, I don't know if this would work for you or if it's something you want to do. So again, talk to a hair stylist. Good luck!

AT NIGHT: when you get out of the shower wrap your hair in a towl for about 5 minutes, take it out then put moose in it and sleep with it in like that.. it will look scrunched & kinda curly but not wet.

IN THE MORNING: if your hair is dry wet your brush and brush your hair so its damp not soaking.. then get moose & gel and scrunch it with your hands. your hair cant be really wet or too dry. if its damp it might look wet at first but then the wet look goes away once you walk around

hope i helped ♥
