Don't just drop the bomb on him/her. Go out with them and go to all the places you hang out with them. Than, tell them straight out. "I know you're not gonna like this...But my family is moving to (ENTER PLACE HERE). I'm really sorry and I wish I could take you with me." I hope I helped! =) (Good luck moving!)

I always hated moving away.
Take her out to the mall, movies, shopping, or dinner and tell her the news. Trust me, she won't take it nice. Leave her in a good way. And make sure she is there when you leave state/your house.

Aww that is so sad. I would hate moving away from my best friend.
Anyways, go out tomorrow[Friday] & tell her then. It`ll just be the right way. Just tell her that you`re moving & see what she says. Then you can keep the disscussion going by what she says.
