hmm an intersting question, to open one mans heart and soul you must solve the puzzle that questions both mind and spirit. Yoiu must ask him how he feels about himself and you. To ask such a question would be for the right time and moment, timing is one of the best assessets. Of course some things are kept a secret, some things should never be said or found out. If you must pry, pry with cuation, and share a lil of youreself too. I hope this helps, good luck

well i think that its a question of had he opened up to you in the past and suddenly shut you out or has he always been this way. because if he has always been this way its honestly hard to change a person into a chatterbox. i had that issue i was with a guy since i was 15 married him at 25 had his kid and it just got worse and worse cause he never communicated and we are now divorced and i am totally in love with a man that never shuts up. and now im happy. i hope all goes well keep me posted

if he's been hiding his emmotions for 9 years you should talk to him about it. As you know, that's a really long time and it is probab;ly something important that you two should talk about to make your relationship work. good luck

Some men open up more easily than others. And some just won't open up at all. If you've been with him for nine years, and you've tried to get him to open up and failed for all that time...then it just may not be possible for him.

But if you haven't tried simply *talking* to him about it, that would certainly be worth trying. And if it bothers you so much that you'd consider leaving him, perhaps you should both go to see a couples counsellor. They can really help a couple learn how to communicate and express their feelings to each other.

Good luck!
