Hola!

First don't rely on online translators like some of the other people said. They don't work as well as you may think they do. They tend to use weird tenses.

Second, In spanish the grammer is different then it is in english.
For example in english you would say "The black dress" but in spanish you say "The dress black"

this site can help you with grammer[It has mini lessons!]

You also need to remember to change your verbs
For example

for regular verbs Like Nadar [to swim] you would follow this

Yo [I]- nado
tu [You]- nadas
El, Ella Ud. [He she]- nada
Nosotros [we]-nadamos
vosotros - nadáis
ellos Ellas Uds. [they]- Nadan

For irregular verbs like tener [to have]
yo tengo
tú tienes
él tiene
nosotros tenemos
vosotros tenéis
ellos tienen

[see how the endings change]
Here is a site that will help you conjugate verbs so you can use them in the correct form
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

This site is alittle more hands on

This site will quiz you on verbs

I hope this helps!

Everyone else has already given you some good answers, so I'll just add this:

Crazy as it might sound, you might want to leave your TV or radio on overnight, tuned to a Spanish channel while you sleep. Turn the volume low enough so that you CAN sleep, but loud enough that you can hear it fairly clearly. It make take a little testing to get it just right.

You'll still need to study and all that, of course, but your accent and instinctive sentence formation may improve. The more you're exposed to correct Spanish, the more likely you are to absorb the basic flavor of the language.

And the best thing is, you can do it while you're asleep. :D

Good luck!

Hey im not in spanish but im in french. And i know exactly how you feel. Ive actually found a really good website if your doing homework or something it might be cheating but its a really good "helping" tool. Its www.worldlingo.com on the right click on free online translator.. and you can translate spanish to english or english to spanish, basically any language you wish! But thats what i do.. or ask your teacher for help. Hope i helped!

I have been taking Spanish for four years already; and to be honest with you it wasn't until last September I actually have been getting it.
It's actually pretty simple. What I do before a test is write down all the things I need to know on index cards.
Like the rules for conjugating the verbs, meanings of adjectives, and such.
If you need help with anything drop one in my inbox.
