Is it too late to ask him to get tested?

Question Posted Wednesday February 1 2006, 10:17 pm

I've always been the type to worry about STDs but I went a little far with my boyfriend and we have preformed oral on each other. Even though I might have the chance of already having caught something is it ok for me to ask him to be tested? Where might he get tested?

Of course it's okay, but offer to go with him and get tested yourself too. It's only fair. You can get tested, free & confidential, at Planned Parenthood.

Its never to late to aks him to get tested.. yeah go ahead ask him and explain why you want him too.. ALso he can go to like a local health department place to get checked for free or planned parenthood.. They`ll also give you condoms or some sort of birth control.. ♥ Dez

It's never too late to be tested, especially now that you've moved forward in your relationship. Just let him know that you'd like for both of you to be tested before the relationship moves any further. Your family doctor, health department or planned parenthood office can do the testing. Some areas also have confidential testing centers. Check your phone book for information.

Dear tested,

It is never to late to get tested and yes you should still ask him to get tested. Not only for peace of mind but for future reasons, by getting tested and him tested you can take precautions no matter the outcome of the test results. In every city there are labs/clinics to get properly tested for an STD. Also most hospital will cater to such needs.

Hope this helped

It's definately not too late to ask him to get tested. Have it done for sure before you go any farther, though. There should be a health department in your area, you might find it in the phone book (in the blue pages if your book has them) or by asking around or calling the operator. Most health departments work on a sliding fee scale, so it could be very free or cheap, especially if you or your boyfriend doesn't work or only part time.
