I think you're off to a good start by making a plan. Remember to vary your plan a bit so you don't get bored with it or in a weight-loss rut. I noticed a few things you might want to look at.

The bagel and cream cheese can pack a lot of calories. You may want to either switch to a plain bagel or try a different option for breakfast. A healthy cereal with fruit, an omelet packed with veggies, or whole wheat toast with yogurt might be options to try.

As for lunch, you may want to check the label on the Sunchips and the nature valley bar. Even though they tend to have healthier ingredients, sometimes they sneak in added fat. Fresh veggies may be something you can add. Also, when making the sandwich, remember to watch how it's prepared. Too much mayo or high calorie sandwich makings can turn it into a calorie nightmare.

Make sure you include foods from every food group so your body gets all the vitamins and minerals it needs. Go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and enter your information to get details of how much of each food group your body needs. You may also want to supplement with a good quality multi-vitamin.

To keep track of your progress, judge by how your clothes fit, rather than the numbers on the scale. The scale doesn't differentiate between fat and muscle. Your eyes will. If you must weigh yourself, do so only once a week. Try to do it at the same time of day and wearing similar clothing as the last time.

Don't totally deny yourself treats if you're craving them. Wait about ten minutes after the craving starts to make sure it's really what you want. Then, if you still want it, look for a lower-calorie choice to try. For instance, when craving chocolate, try a miniature candy bar or low-fat chocolate pudding. Another option is trying Viactiv chocolates. They not only soothe a chocolate craving, but also give you needed calcium.

Good luck.

First of all yor being obsessive! I know because i did the exact same thing for like a month and all my friends told me how insane i was! What you need to know is that every body is different and i know you most likly thinking oh crap shes going to lecture me like some health teacher but im not i have another idea for you in which i did and i have lost like 15 pounds! Ok, what you need to do is relax, videos like that might help a little but if you want to loose weight and burn calories you need to lift weights (dont worry you wont get crazy gross girl muscles)! Lifting weights burns calories and replaces fat with muscle its the only thing that works. If your in high school try joining the track team arobics also help. I joined the track and feild team at my school however i do not run i do shotput and discus ... im not some man-girl infact i look better now than ever... shotput and discus requires quickness and strength by doing this sport you will be doing lots of good exercises that will allow you to achieve your goal. Now for the eating part, relax no measuring or carb counting eat healthy and i know you know what that is. Just eat a good amount of veggies and fruits and breads are good for you! If you want a good snack that will fill you try a PB and J on wheat bread ... sounds simple but it always works! Hope i helped srry for ranting i just hate when people worry about their weight!

The best "diet" is one you can live with for the rest of your life. In the case of most people, that means, eating very close to what they normally eat.

So how do you lose weight eating normally? Build muscle. While aerobic exercises are good too (which is pretty much what you have listed here), they aren't for building muscle specifically. Lift weights. Weight train. You're not going to get bulky like muscle builders if you don't want to, but muscle burns fat. The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. Even when sitting or sleeping. You start naturally losing weight, even if you are eating the same.

100 years ago and longer, there weren't as many fat people as there are today. And yet everybody ate butter, not margarine. Everybody drank whole milk (with the cream too!) not skim milk. Shortening was Lard! One of the biggest flavor additives to dishes was animal fat! There were no artificial sweeteners. So why are people so much fatter today? (well, besides the fact that we eat so many unnatural, man-made foods) Because people back then had to be very physically active and had muscles! Even the women had to be strong and have muscles, just imagine washing every item of clothing on a wash board. If you are physically active and have nice healthy muscle tone, what you eat shouldn't matter nearly as much.

Now on the other hand, if you try to eat less than your body is used to, your body will think that it's in a famine period, and will panic. If your body thinks it's starving, it tries to make sure to save your life, by lowering your metabolism (so you don't burn as many calories) and by storing away even more fat when you start eating more normally because it's afraid there will be another famine and it doesn't want to die. Remember, in all the thousands of years of human history, people usually had to struggle for food. Your body is made to deal with famines and keep you alive. That's why it's so common to gain even more weight than before when going off of a diet.

So bottom line, exercise and weight train. Don't rely on the scales to tell you how you are doing because muscle weighs more than fat! Rely on how your clothes fit, or use a measuring tape to keep track of your body shape.

And regarding diet sodas or diet tea (or anything diet that has NutraSweet, Equal, or Aspartame in it (same thing)), one of the side effects of NutraSweet is Weight Gain!

Check out the beginning of this article on the subject, you can read the rest at the link below it:

==============
ASPARTAME MAKES YOU FATTER!

Position Statement from Sandra Cabot, M.D.,

I have been a medical doctor for 23 years and have clinical and research interests in the liver and metabolism. I have authored several best selling health books including the "Liver Cleansing Diet", "The Body Shaping Diet", "Don't Let Your Hormones Ruin Your Life", "Women's Health", "Menopause and Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy" and I lecture internationally on these subjects. I have been consulted by thousands of patients with weight problems, hormonal imbalances, fatty liver, sluggish metabolism and chronic ill health. I have been an advocate and practitioner of nutritional methods of healing for 30 years. I regularly appear on national television and broadcast on many radio stations to educate people about the importance of a healthy liver in achieving good health and weight control!

In the interests of public health I am making a position statement concerning the use of the artificial sweetener called aspartame and sold most commonly under the names of NutraSweet and Equal. One must ask, "why do millions of people ingest a toxic chemical like aspartame everyday"? To me it appears ridiculous and I believe that it is because people have been brainwashed into thinking aspartame will keep their weight down and is good for health.

Also, aspartame has a lot of other side effects much worse than weight gain, and it almost killed me when I was younger (I had started drinking diet sodas since it was very first approved in the 80s). For more information on how it almost killed me, you can go read my answer to this question:

Good luck.

i think your food choices are bad.. well not all of the but some of them. like cream cheese, the bagel, like yuor whole lunch and the diet tea. although those things all are "low calorie" they arent low in fat or/and sugar. you are better off getting some more sugar free snacks. you will lose weight faster that way. also they make low fat bread.. haha i would know my dad sells bread for his job (towntalk/hosteess) and i know they ahve some sort of low cal bread. that is better than whole grain (maybe not as nutritious but youll lose weight faster)

also i would switch the fruit to veggies. fruit has not alot of sugar in it and is better than junk but could also be better

and instead of sunchips or any snack try quacker rice cakes.. they accually are really good. they taste like cheese curls to me and they have i think atleast 10 dif flavors and im sure youll like something. they are very low fat.

try cereal istead of a bagel

and diet tea i guess is better than pop or juice but i would do gatorade or flavored water instead or if you can buy a sugar free lemonaid try that. or if you find a sugar free go for that but i like my presweetened and ussually has a little sugar in it (just dont drink more than like 1 pint a day)

i hope that helps. i started a diet like 3 weeks ago and my doctor has been trying to help me out with my weight for a few years (b/c shes buts and im only 120 pounds) so i guess i know alot about diets but im still learning.

make sure you are doing atleast 30-60 min of exercise per day! or if you cant do that walk in place while you do homework or idk

hey my aim if DLR Jazz machine if you want to chat with me about your diet because i need a friend to diet with!
