I'm a guy, and junior in high school. I am constantly worried about everything in my life. For instance what I'm going to wear, is my dad mad at me, am I depressed, what my grades are, is my mom alive, just everything like that, even if my friends are mad at me. I worry about everything it drives me nuts all of the time. And when I'm worried about that I can't concentrate on the important things like grades, am I doing the right thing in life, and just crap like that. I told my mom I worry too much and I even worry about her grown up things like who is going to buy my car does she have enough money in the bank. I need some help hear what do I do?

I get overly stressed about everything, even my first day of school, the week before i'd hav and anxiety attack about failing and not being able to go to college and my parents hating me. I mean crazy stuff! What you need to do is relax and i know thats hard to do, i used to break down in tears i'd be so stressed, just breath. Try writing a list, write down everything you need to do that day for school, for friends, family, etc just anything that you need to get down or remember. And about worrying about your mom being able to pay for your car and college and whatever else, just remember thats why your the child she has a plan, and plus your only in middle school chill you got what at least 3-4 years. You dont need to please everyone especially your friends, afterall they are your friends for a reason they'll understand! Tell them (and this might be different for guys but anyway ...)that you worry there getting mad at you for stuff, i told my friend and to this day she is the only one of my friends who truly inderstands how freaked i cna get! Just tell one, the one who will inderstand and wont judge! I hoped i helped and srry to go on and on bout stuff but trust me "it'll all be okay in the end if its not okay its not the end" (quote by some unknown person ... my fav.) Cj answered Tuesday January 31 2006, 8:02 pm: yp man just chill.
nothing is wrong with you.
you don't need a psychiatrist or counsler
psychiatrist are for psycho's and you are not one.
you just worry too much.
just learn to live and let live.
try some exercise.. like 15 minute of running a day. that should help.
and change your mentality a bit.
read about the ways of hippies or become a goth. or a true goth at least. try www.goth.net
but be;ieve me, The exercise should help you a lot.
and try to get more sleep. like 8-10 hours a night.
don't do drugs. and don't take any stupid stress relief pills either. those just screw up your system.
Krupple answered Tuesday January 31 2006, 6:34 pm: Hmmm, if it's bothering you that much you might want to go see a professional to see if you have GAD (General Anxiety Disorder).
Hope you can solve your problem. [ Krupple's advice column | Ask Krupple A Question ]
kailey answered Tuesday January 31 2006, 6:11 pm: For the most part, your worries sound like typical teenage problems. I think we've all worried about all of those things at one point or another, some more often than others. The only thing that strikes me as particularly odd is worrying constantly if your mother is alive or not. Is it possible that you have OCD? (Please note that I'm not trying to diagnose your or anything, it's just always a possibility). I wouldn't say that counseling is the ONLY solution, but give it a try if you think it would help. It can't do you any harm, but in all honesty it sounds like you just need a friend to vent to. Find a friend you can trust with your constant worries; he or she may be of more help than a counselor could be simply because s/he is able to empathize. Or maybe even find a complete stranger to vent to; in my experience that's a hell of a lot easier & more comfortable. If you'd ever like a stranger to vent to, I'm here. My email address is listed on my column. [ kailey's advice column | Ask kailey A Question ]

if that doesn't sound like you, it could juss be a form of anxiety which is pretty much normal. if you think its serious then maybe you wanna talk to an adult about it er go see someone for help. it could help you a lot.
