In order for the doctor to tell you weather or not you are is to tell him what you are doing. Just getting a physical or something will not tell him/her a thing.
So, go to a doctor and explain to him/her what you are doing that makes you feel you might have an OCD.

BlackAngel answered Monday January 30 2006, 11:06 pm: Hm...I'm not going to try to diagnose you with anything, but I'd recommend looking up more about OCD. It's not uncommon, and it sounds like you might have it, but it could also be that you're a perfectionist, about all or just some things.
As for your mom's statement: teachers are not generally trained to notice that kind of thing. They know signs of suicidal behavior, depression etc, but I don't think as much OCD. Mainly because it's hard to tell it apart from perfectionism, especially for a teacher who doesn't know you well.
As for doctors...when's the last time you went in? And was you condition such at the time that they were like "ok, gotta get this kid healthy right now!"? If it was, then you were sick enough that they wouldn't have had any signs to notice anyway. Depends on the type of doctor you see.
If you're worried about possibly being OCD, I'd suggest talking to a school psychologist person (they don't bite, I swear) only so they could maybe give you an idea of if you might be OCD or not. Tell them about how you have to touch things a certain number of times, and that you can't live with things being incorrect. Ask their opinion. Then ask if they recommend telling your mom about your talk with them, and maybe seeing someone else about it.
Should it turn out that you are OCD, there are ways to help you become less OCD, but I don't know about actually curing it. But, it'll make you feel like you don't have to do things as many times and things won't be quite as bothersome.
