ok me and this girl liked each other for a while and she just broke up with her boyfriend and we liked each other while they were going out and now were prettty happy and ready to move on with eachother as a couple and today i found out that we might be 5th or 6th cousins, were not like some rednecks on jerry springer it was completley unexcpected and unwelcomed i wanted to know is 5th cousins to close for comfort?
should we just be cousins/friends or what..
AEangel589 answered Saturday January 28 2006, 2:41 pm: 5th/6th is very far apart, it's not like your first or second cousin. it's barely a family anymore, it's down to like 1%. think about it, if you believe that everyone was conceived from adam and eve, then we technically are all like millionth cousins, is that wrong? lol jk. but it's not bad, especially since you guys like each other alot, go for it. don't ruin your chances. oh and when people ask about you two, leave that part out, it may be frowned upon, but who really has to know? But from what you were saying it doesn't even sound like your completely sure you are cousins! fifth and sixth cousins is really distant though! I don't think you should worry about it. I only know 3 of my second cousins.... xoxoxo, i hope this helps!

If it is 5th or 6th cousins, there is no problem. It's not like she's your sister so if you really care about each other then go out. If you both think it's too weird then you'll know to call it a day. [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]
