okay, the only reason I didn't put this under health or something is like I didn't think anybody would read then. Anyway, okay, I have this pain in my side every once and a while, and I am the kind of person that doesn't really tell their family anything! so I haven't told anyone, but my boyfriend and my closest friends, but my friends have been telling me that I should tell my parents, and my boyfriend is starting to freak out and really worry, but I really don't want them to know! But I feel like I just ran a mile and the only time it goes away is when I am excersising really hard, and if I stop then the pain comes back...so I guess, what should I do?
P.S.
no, it is not cramps that is what all of my friends said it could be, but it just gets worse, I have had it for 3 days streight now, if that helps...

When I was younger I had a pain in my side once in a while.. which got more frequent and one night really severe.. We had to go to the hospital and after checking it out it turned out to be a kidney stone. You probably don't have to worry about that if you drink lots of water and know it's not genetic in your family. But, seriously, I would try to get it checked out. If it's something serious, you can do something about it as early as possible. Hope I helped.
NextMiaHamm answered Saturday January 28 2006, 10:58 am: i did that once during one of my soccer games. there is some stretches that you can do that will help you. like stand up and spread your legs apart and lean to the opposite side of the pain and then touch your toes like that and stretches along those lines. hope i helped! <3 [ NextMiaHamm's advice column | Ask NextMiaHamm A Question ]
twistedsister17 answered Friday January 27 2006, 9:53 pm: Well, what are your sleeping positions? Do you sleep with more than one pillow, kind of propped up? because I know the way you sleep can have major effects on your back, neck and sides. Perhaps you sleep on your sides and it causes you these pains.
Or it could be very major period cramps. The reason they would stop when you excersize really hard is because when you have PMS, excersizing makes you feel better.
I would tell your family. It could possibly be your appendix (sp?) so you definitely need to consult a doctor.
kooka-burra answered Friday January 27 2006, 6:49 pm: Take the peoples advice. It's not like it has anything t do with sex or anything so it can't be weird with your parents.
I don't mean to feek you out, it could be nothing it could be some thing... not good.
If it goes away don't think it will go away forever.
Maybe you can get your family doctors number and take to them.
ratpakgirl answered Friday January 27 2006, 6:19 pm: You should really get it checked out. Even though I'm a doctor's kid doesn't mean I know too much. But if it's been going 3 days straight then you need to talk to someone, whether it be your parents, a counselor, or (hopefully) a local physician/your familie's doctor. They could tell you if it's nothing to worry about, or something that should be looked at right away. You shouldn't wait on something like this. If you can't talk to your parents, talk to your friends/friends parents, and maybe they could take you to the doctor. Anways, all I can say is, get this checked out.
Hope it helps a little,

xomegaroni answered Friday January 27 2006, 6:17 pm: your side as in up by your ribs?? er down in your stomach area?? you have to be more specific. if its down in your area on your right side then it could be your appendix. you need to tell someone because obviously 99.9% of people on here aren't doctors & you don't want it to get any worse soo you should get it checked out.
