okay i decided to shave 'down there' instead of trimming it and now i have little red bumps down there. how can i get rid of them and if i shave down there again are they going to come back?
DancinCutie08 answered Wednesday January 25 2006, 5:33 pm: okay i have several solutions to your problem!
1. use condition instead of shaving cream
2. don't use a new razor
3. dont use lotion on it afterwards esspecially if you have senstive skin because it can make is worse (if you know your skin isnt sensitive at all then go for it)
4. dont shave done there again till the bumps go away
5. if you can wax it instead the bumps wont come back
6. if you can dont shave more than every other day. it will help your skin from getting irritated
7. and if you havent shaved a certain area before it will be hard to prevent bumps.. like a i know the first few times i shaved i got them
8. make sure your skin isnt dry.. like if you swim every other day shave on the days you dont swim.
9. anything that you use that has scents (shaving cream, lotion, soap) if you can get the scentless version.. it causes less irritation [ DancinCutie08's advice column | Ask DancinCutie08 A Question ]

Raeden answered Wednesday January 25 2006, 3:01 pm: I don't know if this is useful advice, but a girl told me cooling your area with very cold water before shaving helps prevent skin irritation. [ Raeden's advice column | Ask Raeden A Question ]
advice-anyone answered Wednesday January 25 2006, 2:55 pm: You can use baby powder but that only soothes the bumps' irritation. When shaving 'down there' it's always best to shave in the opposite direction that you would to shave your legs, catch my drift? Also, you should use mosturized shaving gel which will prevent the bumps in the first place. [ advice-anyone's advice column | Ask advice-anyone A Question ]
zeroselon answered Wednesday January 25 2006, 2:40 pm: baby, it's baby powder. 2 days, powder up your sack before you go out in the morning and you're golden. and, yes, if you shave again they may be back. [ zeroselon's advice column | Ask zeroselon A Question ]
hco_babe answered Wednesday January 25 2006, 2:37 pm: its normal for the first time. for next time, get a brand new razor (dull ones cause the bumps) and make sure you add lots and lots of body wash. they'll go away somewhere around the 3rd time.
