My parents & their smoking.
Well, my parents are smokers. My dad has been smoking since he was a kid.. middle school and now he is 39. My mom has been smoking pretty much since high school and now she is 37. That's the background info.
My dad really wanted to stop and he tried 3 or 4 times, but failed. Used Nicoteen and whatever there was. He couldn't. My mom has done the same, but she doesn't belive that any products or pathches work.
I'm really scared they they will get cancer and die. I know you'll die when your time is up, but my parents are only middle age and I don't want them to die .. anytime soon !!!! It scares me to death, and I also don't want to have lung problems because I'm always around.
Now my question, how can I convince them to stop?? I talked to them SOO many many times, nothing has worked. Any adive on this?? Thanks so much, and if you want me to rate you, just say so. I'm very fair.

if both your parents really do want to quit smoking have them get in touch with the american lung association, for support and the latest on products and services.you can find contact numbers online at www.lungusa.org also quitting smoking is verrry hard, try to understand that most people who've become smoke free tried and failed at least 5 times. just attempt to be as supportive as possible, keep gum and pretzel sticks around the house and in thier cars. ive also heard good things about a pill called smoke away, check that out as well.no prescription needed. if worse comes to worse pressure them to only smoke outside, for your health, but remind them often, countless failure does NOT mean you should quit trying. id like feedback as to how its going. good luck to both you and your parents.

look when my dad was smoking he will leave a pack of them laying down on the table and i would get them and put them in the sink that is when he got the point and then say stuff like your mom and dad did not wont you guys to smoke when yall was younger and now you are you did not listen so why should i that breaks em down.
