Heard this in a movie..
A little girl was walking in the winter and saw a frozen snake by the side of the road. She took pity on it, and put it in her pocket to warm it up. After a while, the snake warmed up, and bit her in the leg. She said, "Hey, I took care of you, what did you bite me for?" And the snake said, "Well, you knew I was a snake when you picked me up, didn’t you?"
What is the moral of this story? I'm just curious.

It means if you put snakes in your pocket, you deserve to be bitten because you're a dipshit.

To me, it says, basically that she knew, or should have known, what she was getting into.

To not expect people to be nice just because you're nice to them. If someone's mean, they are going to be nasty to you and there's nothing you can do. If someone tends to backstab, you'll be backstabbed, boy that sucks!

Some people will be mean no matter what you do for them. You could do something good for someone, but they are still the same person.
Basically, a snake will always be a snake.

I take it to mean that things are rarely what they seem and that you should be careful who you place your trust in.

If you know a boy who has abused his past girlfriend and you think that if YOU were his girlfriend you could change him into a normal, non-abusive, well adjusted boy through the power of prayer and your everlasting LOVE--think again. You can't. So don't bother because you will end up in a shelter for battered women.

It means a snake will always be a snake no matter what you do for it. The moral is.. don't take care of people that have a past of doing things to hurt others, because chances are, they won't change no matter what.

i dont know what "moral" means but ill help as best as i can.. the story says that just because you think someone is harmless, you dont always know what they are really like. it takes a long time to gain trust. and you cant expect everyone to be nice and kind.

It means that trust shouldn't be placed so easily. Someone that might be a sweetheart when they're in the dumps might be total dicks when they're back in a power position.

A snake is still a snake even if it's frozen. So when it warms up, it's not going to be friends with you & have cute little tea parties just because you took care of it. Common sense. Snakes are evil & never should you befriend one.

Never befriend something that is evil. Because it's still going to be evil to you if your nice or care about it.
