It depends on how wisely you spend your money, what kind of income you have, where you live, what expenses you have, if you have a family to provide for etc.
If you're looking for a more sound financial position; try eliminating the things you don't need. Instead of eating out, make a sandwich. Instaead of shopping for $50 jeans, go to Wal-Mart or the Thrift store. If you have a family, and kids, don't jump to buy them every new toy that they yearn for. Don't waste money on silly things that aren't needed.
