Going with what WiseAl said, if you want results, you need to eat properly, I agree. However, this doesn't mean that you have to necessarily give up all of your favorite foods. You just have to eat appropriate sized servings in moderation. That being said, you also need to establish some selfcontrol. Just take it easy on all of the extremely unhealthy foods, such as cake products, white bread [substitute it with wheat], soda, ice cream, and chips. Yes, these foods may be delicious, but they're not suitable for every day consumption. And they're most certainly not the key to weight loss. Cut back on [if not eliminate them all together], for two weeks. Challenge yourself. Prove to yourself that you CAN do this. So, accomplish a two week stand off with the sugar, and then go celebrate one night with an ice cream sundae - just keep it at an acceptable size! It's okay to treat yourself, that's exactly what you need; a system. Let this be your plan of attack!! You CAN do this.

But as you probably already know, it's best to eat several small portions a day; but this does not mean to "starve" yourself. Say, have an apple and a piece of cheese, two hours later have a few crakers, and an hour later have one piece of wheat toast, and so on and so forth, ya know??? And those are just some snack ideas. When it comes to solid meals, you don't really have to cut out much. Just take in moderation. Little intakes of food like that gives your body time to digest it properly. You see how that's better than eating one or two huge meals a day?? Because then it would take too long to catch up, and your body will not be able to burn the calories quickly enough; so it just quits, adding body fat.

That being said, you can find lists of healthy foods at:

And as far as an exercise routine goes, a few good activities that can simply assist in porportioning the body in it's entirety would be anything that gets the blood circulation goin', such as: jogging, jumping jacks, jumping rope, walking, and bicycle riding. Another thing, if you have access to a heated pool, water aerobics work like a charm!!

To tone your triceps (I do this one and it performs miracles, by the way!):

And here is something I'm sure will spark your interest. This website has a list activities, and the numerical amount of calories they will burn:

Of course you must realize that weight loss takes time. I can't really say how long it will take; I suppose that differs from person to person. It really just depends on how much weight you're looking to shed. I'd say you could lose 10 to 20 pounds within the first month; that's very possible [seeing as how a good portion of that 10-20 pounds will be water weight].

You just have to stay committed, and strive to keep up the drive. Some tips: just try to keep yourself busy, and sleep as often as possible. Those things keep your mind off of food.

Sure it seems like you're giving up so much, but think about what you will be gaining if you feel better about yourself! That's the best damned grand prize you'll ever find! (=

There is no way to lose fat from your arms. There is no exercise (even weights) that can target fat loss from an area of the body. No matter what anyone says it is NOT possible.
The only way to lose weight from anywhere is to make your body lose weight generally and eventually it may take fat cells off your arms.
Sorry its not what you want but, if you doubt my advice, a bit of research will prove me right. If you want general weight loss tips just drop me a note... good luck.
