portions?

Question Posted Friday December 30 2005, 7:23 pm

I'm not overweight, but I have a gut forming since I quit my recent sport. Is that old saying " I eat when I`m hungry and stop when I'm full" true? Can I expect to possible drop a few pounds and maintain that weight by eating smaller portions?

What you do is set aside 20% of your meals and not eat that 20%. It also works with smaller portions

hope i helped?

Better yet, try eating things that won't put the extra pounds or weight on your young body.... steamed veggies and rice won't add an ounce... but don't use that dead white rice stuff, no nutrition at all. Stay away from bread products, anything with flour in it... pancakes, waffles, muffins, cookies, spaghetti, pastas, hamburger buns, or any junk fund....diet sodas kill brain celss your body never replaces!!! good luck and remember, exercise of that area helps too!!!!

when you eat, try eating slower and enjoying your food more. this lets the brain know exactly when you're full so that you know when to stop. also, try eating more meals a day, including breakfast, to raise your metabolism. also, if you can, try to go for a walk/jog/run after your meals. this will help burn off calories as well.

You can definately expect that. When you're eating, you just stop whenever you know that you're full. You don't just keep eating until you can't eat anymore, because that's what makes you overweight to begin with. Eating 4-5-6 meals a day compared to 3, can make your metabolism faster. By doing this you will build muscle, burn fat, & you'll be able to lose that gut. =]
