Question Posted Friday December 30 2005, 7:41 pm

I was thinking about getting an iPOD nano. But, I have one question. If I do get one, do I have to use iTunes? Can I use Windows Media Player, or Limewire?

if you have WMP or Limewire, you have to transfer your songs to iTunes to put them on the ipod

so yes, you need to use it, but you dont need to download your songs all over again

Yes, and no. You need iTunes to transfer songs to the iPod, but you can use the other programs to download the music.

You have to get iTunes but you dont have to use it. You can get Limewire or Ares and download songs on there. Then, send it to iTunes and put it on your iPod.

I think you can use both of those. I've heard Dell jukebox is also good for downloading songs to MP3 players.
Hope I helped,

BecauseYouLivex3 answered Friday December 30 2005, 8:19 pm:
Even if you have Limewire or Windows Media Player in order to put music onto your iPOD you need itunes. But the bright side you dont need to get music off itunes. You can get it off limewire.

This is what you do to transform music onto Itunes and into your IPOD :

1)After you download your music you go to Libary.
2)than theres a middle section between that and its playist and you click : Explore : and you will have a file come up
3) After that open Itunes up.
4) than on your libary you drag the files from what opened up into your libary.
( and im guessing you kno how to add songs you already have but if you dont here it is..)
5) after that you press copy
6) than after that it will update and you paste it into where ever it says ____ IPOD

hope I helped <3

i have ipod nano & you have to use itunes to transfer the music to your ipod. it's way easier than windows media player. ok so what you can do is use limewire to get your music (that way you don't have to pay for itunes music, its 99 cents per song) & then the music you DL from limewire goes onto itunes & you juss use itunes to transfer it. it's easy, because itunes comes with your ipod. it's a cd & everything. windows media player is more mp3 player er burning cds. you can also get an itunes card & use songs from there. it's really good to use & you don't get any viruses from itunes.

-hope that helped!♥
