HOPLESSxROMNTC answered Saturday December 31 2005, 2:19 am: Just dont say it as mean as 'NO!' say it more like. 'Im sorry I cant help you right now, maybe some other time.' People shouldnt expect you to say yes everytime they need help. Just say it very nicely or tell them what to do so you dont have to do it for them. Good luck!

onlyme answered Friday December 30 2005, 11:21 am: well i don't think you should feel guilty because people should not depenbd on you always to help them maybe you should tell them how you feel and they might know how they feel. but you should definitly not feel bad about not helping them. "I'm sorry I can't help right now because I have a lot going on right now."
"I'd love to help, but now is not a good time for me. Perhaps another time?"
"That's kind of you to ask, but I have a previous commitment."
These examples all show your willingness while telling the person asking that you aren't able to help at that time. Another option is referring the person to someone who can help. [ ncblondie's advice column | Ask ncblondie A Question ]

if you want to say NO nicely to people, then you have a couple options to let them off ::
xx - "I think I can handle it, thanks though."
xx - "I'll be fine, thanks."
xx - "Oh, it's fine you don't have to do that."
