I've just recently got a ferret as a pet. He's male, about seven or eight months old. He's very docile and "lazy" for a ferret and is easily distracted, but he doesn't seem to want to play much. I know, I should be thanking my lucky stars he isn't always on "go go gadget" mode, but are there some games or activities that your ferrets enjoy that Doorstop might as well? Something cheap and stimulating for him would be awesome. Thanks!

What he enjoys is chasing the cats (LOL) and digging up my mom's potted plants (LOL). So.. what you can do is, give him something to dig in (it can be dirt, uncooked rice, etc) in a large bin or something. Another thing is, that ferrets have an excellent sense of smell, much better than their sight. So you can give him a bunch of different things to smell, which is very stimulating. You could also take him outside (but you must be EXTREMELY careful not to lose him!) which my ferret LOVES. Tons of new places to romp around in, and TONS of new strange smells.

orphans answered Friday December 30 2005, 11:30 am: ferrets like exploring new places, so put it somewhere where there is a lot of corners and holes and places where he can hide under (you can also put ferret treats in the places, so he'll be more active)
