Ohkay, let's say im sick, just congestion. Like my nose is all stuffy. And i go out and by a naysel spray. if i take too much of that even by accident, can i permenantely damage my brian or body?
But make sure to read the directions. It will almost certainly say something like "do not use for more than 7 days".
The reason for this is because it's very easy to become addicted to nasal spray. I should know, I've only been "clean" for about 2 months, after years of using it multiple times a day.
It's not a drug addiction type of addiction, it's simply that your nasal passages get so used to the spray, it gets to where they won't stay clear without it. It also lessened my sense of smell.
You can find tons more info with this search:
Anybody who finds themselves addicted may want to try what I'm currently using:
It's helping me to get over the nasal spray. I'm usually clear enough to be able to eat and taste food, though I still can't breathe freely through my nose at night. :-(
Anyway, this was just a long way of saying, follow the directions, and don't use the spray for very long, no matter how tempting it is. You don't want to go through this, it's miserable. Trust me. [ DangerWench's advice column | Ask DangerWench A Question ]

Probably not as long as you don't take TOO much, like I know when I take medication I may take a little teeny tiny bit over the teaspoon dosage, you'll live. But if you OD on it then that could affect you.
Your best bet is to call a pharmasist (sp?) at a local drug store and ask them. The number should be on the container that holds the naysal spray. The only nasal spray I have ever used was flonase, I don't know what kind you use and I'm not authorized to give out such information, so really you'll be better off calling the pharmacist. DeadMemories answered Wednesday December 28 2005, 5:36 pm: No Because As Long as you don't drink it you will be just fine. Usually on the bottle it says something like "Take Every 3-4 Hours". It Won't Damage your brain. Trust me if it did they wouldn't put it out.
