Igotamonopoly answered Saturday December 24 2005, 5:27 pm: To become an organ donor, at least in California, you put a sticker on your driver's license, and also need to be 18. Organ donation is something that you do once you've passed away. There is the exception of liver and kidney donations, which can both occcur while you're still living. Also, you have to die a certain way, you have to be brain dead, and not have like bled to death or anything. I highly doubt that you would get money, but blood banks give out stickers and t-shirts, and to donate blood through the American Red Cross, you need to be at least 17 years old and weigh 115 pounds. I'm not sure on plasma donation. This is something that you can google, by the way. <3 [ Igotamonopoly's advice column | Ask Igotamonopoly A Question ]

bob_sayz_it answered Saturday December 24 2005, 10:44 am: if its a vital organ you have to be very recently dead. however, if its blood or a kidney you just donate it while your living. you should probably ask your doctor how to become one. i dont think you get money though.

sweet08dreams answered Saturday December 24 2005, 9:42 am: you can become an organ donor in many ways. one way is when you get your license, tell them you want to be one and it will be on tbe back of your license so if something were to happen to you people would know. also you can tell whoever holds your rights if you were to be hospitalized that you want to be an organ donor and they can let the hospital know for you. you can give parts for money on the black market but i wouldnt if i was you. you may need those organs someone if something else were to shut down and do you really want to take the chance of making your whole body fail if your missing one organ?
