grandma anoyance
i have this grandma SHE is a total neat freak and sometimes just plain wierd she will not let me watch pg13 movies even though im 15 so when my mom buys me one we have to keep it a secret. when im with her all day i juat cant wait to get away . i still love her though. and after christmas me my mo and her are going to tenneessee for 10 and when my mom drives she pretends there is a fack brake petal and pushes her foot down. now tell me how will i stand her for 10 days straight? i RATE HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!

My Grannie Died About 3 Months ago (She was 87). Trust me I Know How It is With The "Bothering You" Thing. But You know after she died it was totally different. You would get to miss those things. Like when I would spend the night with my grannie, I would wash my hair and wear it wet. But when she saw it I HAD to dry it or I would never hear the end of it until I dried it.
But Anyways I would really try not to mind it. My Grannie wouldn't let me watch those kind of movies either. And I mean PG movies at that! So I just learned to Deal. And PLEASE don't make the mistake of Wishing her to die or anything like that cause you will regret it. I know I did.

You should try to be "interested" in the things that she likes for the first couple of days on the trip. When she sees what a trooper you are she will start to care more about your interests... then you can become closer with her and enjoy your trip! :-P

i know you think you gma's annoying! i did too. shes a grandma, she wont be around as long as you think. take advantage of the time you have together. you never really know what you have until its gone. listen to me... because i didnt listen to my dad and now i totally regret it. and its only 10 days. have fun and make memories. those 10 days probably mean the world to her; just to be with you.

What you need to do is get a personal CD player, lots of batteries and something to keep your mind occupied while you're with your grandma. I have to deal with this kind of thing every summer, and keeping myself busy and out of the line of fire is what works best for me. Your grandma is from a different generation than you are, and sometimes that age gap is really evident... Things that are perfectly acceptable in today's world were just NOT done in your grandma's day. That's to be expected, but it sounds like your grandma is having a hard time dealing with it. Definatly take my advice about keeping yourself busy, though.. Check out some good books at the library, or pretend to do your homework or something.

Hey i used to think basically the same thing about my grandmother. She died a few months ago and it was one of the hardest things i have ever been through. I would cherish the moments you have with her. "You never know what you have until its gone." I wish i had enjoyed more of the time with my grandmother.....

well first off i don't think you should bother hiding your movies from your grandmother - you & your mother need to calmly explain to her that it's not her decision on what you watch, she is not your mother. so if anyone, your mom should decide that. tell her you lover her, but explain to her that sometimes you need her to calm down (tell her the foot brake thing bothers you). do this very calmy & be nice to her though, she is your grandmother & she won't be here forever so don't be mean!

Omg my grandma is the SAME EXACT way!!Except in the car, whenever she thinks we're gonna crash or when we pass a semi (which is every 5 minutes) she put her hands up to her head..lol its really funny. I love her to death though.. you just gotta accept the person she is and love her for her..even if she has alot of corks about her just let her know that you love her alot and try to spend time with her. I know it gets annoying, trust me I know how you feel, but if you get a special bond, you'll be able to ignore when she's like that and just have fun with her. That's what I did, cuz I just want her to have really good years..she won't be around forever you know? I hope I helped! &hearts &hearts
