I am tired of looking at my plain white painted windowsill in my dorm. What's a plant that looks pretty but will not die if (more like when) I forget to water it, or leave it shut up in my cold room for a month while I am at home for break?

They are very simple to care for and very hard to kill. So if you forget to water it for a few weeks or a month or two, it will still look like a healthy plant. They also thrive with or without much sunlight.
The reason it doesn't need a lot of water is because it is in the cactus family, but it is much easier to take care of than an accual cactus. They even look good, below is a link so you can kind of see what they look like.

I've seen a lot that are really pretty and look totally real! And you don't have to take care of them at all =) [ yourperfectdisaster's advice column | Ask yourperfectdisaster A Question ]
