Flowers

I was given a very large bouquet of flowers in a pot with floral foam. How do I maintain these flowers? How do I water them? Do I replace the foam with soil?

Bought a Venus Fly trap, what is the packet?

I got a venus fly trap from Josh's Frogs, and it doesn't say in the instructions and information packets that come with it what it is and I can't find any information regarding it on their website. It's a white packet, about as long as my hand, and it has black stuff in it. My mom thinks it might be ground up flies to feed it and my sister thinks it's probably soil, but it's very dry and hard. The individual pieces of it are very tiny. I don't know what it is, and I don't want to try to feed it to my plant and kill it. Anybody know what it might be?

Aerial Plant Hypotheses

I need your help regarding my experiment about plants. I'm studying about aerial plants. I had observed that the upper part of the plant are dead while the lower part of the aerial plant is still alive and healthy. What would be the hypotheses about this? I'm thinking about sunlight but I think it doesn't affect the upper leaves of the aerial plant to die because it gets enough sunlight. Please I need your help. Thank you.

Garden help!

My father is interested in gardening and he wants to make a garden in our home. My mom is not agreeing with him and she never gave him permit ions to grow any plan at home. So I am confused and need some ideas. Who can I manage this situation.

Easy growing plants?

Okay, so I want to make a garden filled with different and bright colors. The thing is, I've tried this before and lots of animals around my neighborhood destroyed the plants no matter what we did. Now we have some pots with plants in them. We have tomatoes, and morning glories. Our marigolds died sadly along with the petunias and I want to replace them. Being it is Summer, and I live in Southern California, could you recommend plants that can tolerate heat, maybe drought, and lots of sun? Thanks!

Solar Flares

There is a solar flare that is about to affect my area so I wanted to know a little bit more about them.
I know they are balls of gas from the sun and aren't always powerful enough to reach Earth. But why do they affect some technology? Also, does it create any changes in the environment? Can you see them?

Backyard Renovation

Okay so my boyfriend and I have finally found our first house! The actual outside of the house looks great (the inside needs some work) but the backyard is AWFUL! It's fenced in and actually pretty spacious, but the whole thing is uneven and it looks like nothing but weeds have been there for 20 years! How can I even begin to renovate this and maybe start a garden? Or are there any helpful websites or books I could refer to?

Venus Fly Trap Food

I recently got a Venus fly trap plant and it's super small. So the chances of a bug going into it is very slim even if it does attract bug. So I fed a dried up bug that I would to it but it open back up with the bug still in it a day later. I just killed a bug in the bathroom a couple minutes ago and fed it to it so hopefully it will eat it even if it is a little squished. So is there a special way I can feed it when it's indoors like over the winter? Any funky concoction? ;) Thanks

Help! I have a mole invasion at my house! It is going to head toward my pool and if it gets under there My family won't have a pool anymore! My dad is using a mole trap like where it scares the mole to go away and poison to where it digged you know.But this question is dedicated to my family. I recently got a cough and I open my window when i sleep because i fear breathing in toxic mold. tonight i opened the window and there is mold on the inside like a beige color with olive green. i never realized this, but is this how i developed my cough?! I have a Quietflo hunter air purifier in my room and it states that it clears mold and allergins from bedrooms. I am insanely scared that i won't wake up or drop dead randomly like brittany murphy because of gay mold. i told my parents that i also have a cough and that i think there is mold on our basement steps and they yelled at me. They do absolutely anything to not have an inspection. what can i do to keep myself safe? anyone have advice? do you think this mold is poisonous?
