When you bring the photo into an editing program, you should be able to do a "save as" and save it as a different format. Generally you can click "file" then "save as" to open the screen. Underneath the box for the file name, you should have a little pull-down screen. Save it as jpg or gif and it should work.

Wow those answers were confusing! I have Irfanview and I use it all the time it's wonderful. Changing your picture to a JPG file is really easy, don't worry. What you do is open the picture in Irfanview. Click on "File" then "Save As". Just below where you type in the File name is a box that says "Save as type". Click on that and choose "JPG - JPEG files" then click on save. If you have any other questions about using IrfanView inbox me and I'll try to help you out as best I can. Good luck!

Yes. Open the picture on your computer so that you see it in full size, bit still fit on the monitor. Then what? Look for on your keyboard a button that says Print Screen, which should be next to Scroll Lock. After you press Print Screen, open up paint. Click on the dotted line box on the top tab. Once that is selected, right click on the drawing part of paint, press paste picture, and your entire screen should show up.

Next, click on any other tab, paintbursh or bucket, then click back onto the dotted line box. Center paint so that your picture fits so that you can draw a box around it with the dotted line box option. Once its set, cut out the picture - click and drag from one corner to the opposite corner. Right click inside that box cut. Then press Ctrl + A, then the Delete button, not backspace button. Then paste your picture again on paint. Now...scroll all the way to the bottom right corner, where you should see a gray outline around the white paper. Select the paintbrush or any other drawing utencil, and a small little blue box should appear at the very corner. Click and drag that inward, oppositely towards your picture until you have resized everything to fit your picture entirely with no white spaces left...just the gray backround. Save that image, upload it onto myspace, and you are done. Hope that helped and good luck - let me know if you are confused or anything, drop one in my inbox.
