Layering is the best! I prefer comfy over not, but you have to maintain style- so I agree with you sister.
-jeans are a must- even ones that are a little baggy. Really soft T-shirt- and tank top underneath. zip-up hoodie. Bright colors. and a little hat or bangles.
Go with something that you feel really comfortable in and add accessories to it.
You could even wear pajamaish pants and a top that match, with a cute jacket and jewelry.
