In the book "Speak" by Laurie Anderson .. what r all the problems Melinda faces? like i know she gets raped, nd everyones mad at her for calling the police and breaking up the party .. but other than that .. what r the problems she faces.
Or, whats a good website where I can get a really good book review. YES, i have read the book, and yes, i have tried google. I just need help<3

sparknotes.com can give you a good overview of the book as well as the metaphors and symbolism and stuff like that in the book. that might help!

she doesnt get raped because she didn't yell no or anything, she didnt refuse it but she was drunk and she didnt notice what was going on so she let it happen she didnt get raped at the party it happened in the woods. all of the problems that she faces is how all of her friends go to something to nothing and at the end of the story the same guy tries to rape her again in school but then another girl comes in (the other girl is his girlfriend) and he starts yelling at the girl that he raped because his girl is mad at him. i can give you a good book review hear is one

A traumatic event near the end of the summer has a devastating effect on Melinda's freshman year in high school. hope this helps

i finished that book like 2 months ago so its pretty fresh in my mind.the challenges that she faces in general are.. depression,isolation,outcasted and many others but those to me were the main ones. try this website for a review thing [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
