If he feels the same way, then this will be easy, but if he's still in love with you then there's no way to get out of the relationship without hurting him. Tell him as soon as possible; it's better to break his heart with honesty rather than continue a relationship that you're no longer interested in. Be honest with him-- tell him that you don't feel a romantic connection any longer, but you really do want to remain friends. Make it clear that you'll understand if he'll need some space before becoming friends, & that you're willing to wait for whenever that is because he is important in your life even though you no longer have romantic feelings for him. Advicelady6798 answered Monday November 28 2005, 10:35 am: The best way is to talk to him in person. You dont want to be with someone if you are not happy or feel comfortable around him. Finding someone you want to spend the rest of your life with is the key. Ask him to come to your house and take him in a room where it is empty. Tell him how you feel. A relationship is not a good relationship if you are not honest. Just tell him that you want to be friends and that you dont feel the same way about him as he does you. You wish you did but you dont. the sooner you tell him he better you will feel. [ Advicelady6798's advice column | Ask Advicelady6798 A Question ]
ncblondie answered Monday November 28 2005, 9:38 am: There is no easy way to dump someone. I would sit down with him and tell him that although you care for him and enjoy his friendship, you don't feel that romantic spark. Tell him again how much you value his friendship and let him know that no matter what, you still want to be friends.
Supermanlover45 answered Monday November 28 2005, 9:15 am: Well your going to hurt him either way, I know it's not fare when you just want to be friends with a guy that's totally obsessed with you and the only way to say goodbye is bye breaking him into pieces one by one. Just tell him in a settle manner tell him that he's a really good friend, that he's been there all this time and that you wish to be only friends because you can't see him as a boyfriend anymore and you'd rather have something than nothing -friendship than nothing-. Hope I helped. [ Supermanlover45's advice column | Ask Supermanlover45 A Question ]
rainbowNsunshine91 answered Monday November 28 2005, 8:14 am: im sorry, there is NO way of breaking up with your boyfriend WITHOUT hurting him!!!! it isn't possible. try this: I LIKED BEING YOUR FRIEND MORE THAN YOUR BOYFRIEND, IM AFRAID OF LOSING YOUR FRIENDSHIP, SO CAN WE GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS? I DON'T WANT TO BREAK YOUR HEART. [ rainbowNsunshine91's advice column | Ask rainbowNsunshine91 A Question ]
