is it the way i act?
one of my friends( i have a lot friends that are girls)said that because i act stupid and joke all the time that's why i don't have a girlfriend. if that really is true, what should i do about it?

Well. it looks like you are a cool dude! Anyways, here is my point of view. Im a guy, so i think that they either don't like you or your really stupid. BUT i think that a girl should like you for who you are NO MATTER the circumstanses! You should act as yourself cause then you really won't get someone. This is my opinion.

I'm a girl,so here's my point of view,don't do anything about it,there will some day be a girl who loves you for who you are,and if you change for someone else,your not being yourself,don't change,hope this helps.

girls like more mature guys. funny, but mature. like don't act stupid and like an asshole around girls or in public. if you're playin sports or havin a sleepover or a birthday party or whatever with just your guy friends, then it's okay to act stupid. but save it for then. i'd say be more conservative. hope i helped!

It depends on whether or not you're actually like that *all* the time. I personally love guys that act stupid & don't care about what people think & I know a lot of other girls who feel the same way-- but you need to be serious at the appropriate times, & if you're *never* able to be serious, then your friend could have a point.
Regardless, don't change who you are just so you can get a girlfriend. You want a girl who loves you for who you are & doesn't try to change a single thing. Don't act the way you think you should so you can have a girlfriend-- wait until you find the girl who embraces everything about you, irritating/quirky personality traits included.

it might be, girls like guys who they can take seriously too. they are probably afraid your relationship will be a "joke" like how you act. hang out with some girls and prove to them there is a serious side to you.

Do YOU believe you're acting "stupid"? Probably not until your friend said that, and it obviously hurt your feelings enough to doubt yourself and have to ask this question. Whether you're acting "stupid" is your friends opinion. I don't think you should have to change for a single soul. You do what's right to you. You do what satsifies you, and that's all you need for the time being. And who the hell knows, maybe there's a nice girl out there who is actually looking for someone who is not so serious all of the time. I don't think this makes you "stupid", I think this could quite possibly make you silly. Silly is definitely from "stupid", and silly is not a bad thing, but I hope you really do know where the line is drawn between the two. (=

You shouldn't change at all. Sometimes girls like boys that act stupid & joke all the time. I know I do! You shouldn't change anything about yourself, especially something that you can't completely control. Like for example, I've been wanting to stop saying, "that's hot." for the longest time. Because, it's the STUPIDEST saying EVER. But, it takes time. It something you'll eventually grow out of. But as for now, don't change anything about yourself. You want a girl that'll love everything about you, even the ways you act. (:
