Question Posted Saturday November 26 2005, 11:52 pm

Hi, I'm 14 years old and 128 pounds. Everyday, I try to take a run for at least 15 minutes, or sometimes a mile and a half. It's been working really well so far -- it's only been a month and I've already lost around 10 pounds almost. This Thanksgiving weekend, I haven't found the time to run, and it's been probably 4 days since I last ran. Being always a little extra chubby, and having friends that are model gorgeous, I always have had a fear of being TOO fat or not looking great, etc. Now, since it's Thanksgiving weekend, I've eaten A LOT and haven't found the time to run. Will 4 days effect me that much? (Tomorrow I will most likely go run)

Well, it most likely wont effect you that much. As long as you dont slack off too much, you should be just fine. Remember to go on your run tomorrow and you will get back in the habit and will lose all your weight, good luck.

it might effect you a little bit, but since you run a lot then you will soon run it off and probably won't even notice that much of a thanksgiving effect before you start running again. i'm sure it will be fine

no, it won't make THAT much of a difference. i used to run cross country and after i quit i only gained 5-7 pounds in 3 months so 4 days won't hurt you. <3

First of all, you're not fat, so don't worry about that.

The biggest problem that can occur from not running for 4 days is that it might make you get used to not running, and it might feel more tiring when you run again. On the other hand, it is good to have a break. You might be more energetic when you run again. If it's just 4 days you should be fine. Just don't go without the exercise for more than a week. Of course, if you're really tired or otherwise not feeling ready for exercise, that's a different story.

Keep up with the exercise. It's good for you no matter what your weight is.
