period at work

Question Posted Wednesday November 23 2005, 3:48 am

Hi, I have a kind of embarrasing question. Well I just got my period and it's always really heavy the first day I get it. The problem is I have to be at work tomorrow, and my boss told me that we're only allowed to go to the bathroom on our breaks, which is every two hours. Well I'm going to have to be able to change my pad before two hours!! What am I going to do?

go to the bathroom... your boss has no right telling you that you cant. if your boss wont let you tell your boss it has to do with your period. dont be affraid to talk to the boss

If possible how about taking the day off.. i mean tomorrow is thanksgiving.. But if you can`t take the day off ask him for permission.. Your boss can`t do that i`m sure he`d get in trouble some way for not letting you do that.. Also if its possible see a doctor and get a doctors note or get your doctor to call your boss.. ♥ Dez

try a tampon and a pad in case it leaks. that should keep you goor for a while then change it when you get the chance. if your boss is a woman, she should understand...if its a man, talk to one of your collegues and work out something where they can cover for you every hour or so. <3

Tell your boss, who is undoubtedly male, that you have female problems and need to use the restroom. If he doesn't let you, then say "But I'm having my period." really loudly. Like so that everybody else, including the customers can hear.

Hey,
Either explain to your boss about the situation of you being on a heavy period and needing to go to the toilet more regularly or if your boss is a bloke and dont want to do this use tampons. They may feel uncomfortable the first time you use them but youll soon get used to them.
im the same, i used to have to explain to my teachers and they understood and let me go so dont be embarrassed about it just state your problem.

Hope this helped if you want any more advice feel free to email me on kirstyxluvsxsum1@hotmail.co.uk

Wear tampons, then you won't have to change them for like 5 hours.
